Nellie was a Bond Street London trained tailoress, made clothes for (at
least) a Countess.
Emmigrated to Western Australia with a family who were intending to travel
to America, she disembarked in Albany, met William Arthur, re-embarked and
travelled to Victoria where she was employed by Buckley & Nunn's as "Head of
the Table".
Returned to Albany, maried William Arthur, lived in Perth (Bennett St) and
started a dressmaking business in Hay St mall south side - the first dress
making business in Perth.
Elsie & Ivy worked with Nellie. Vera kept house, Ken attended Uni for Civil
Engineering degree at Shenton House in Crawley. (University was arts &
engineering, remainder in Irwin St City.)
