Dexter, George R., on Aug. 21, 1960, retired member of N.Y. Police Department; loving husband of the late Katherine (nee Taylor); loving father of Florence Dunnell and the late George; brother of Minnie Lapsansky; beloved grandfather of Carol Dunnell.
Fumeral from the Bergen Funeral Home, 45-18 48th Ave., Woodside, Thursday at 9:30 A.M. Solemn mass of requiem at St. Raphael's Church 10 A.M. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.

GEORGE R. DEXTER - Retired Policeman
George R. Dexter, 75 of Long Island City, will be buried tomorrow in Calvary Cemetery following a 10 A.M. solemn requiem mass in St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church.
Mr. Dexter died Sunday of a heart attack in his home at 47-07 39th Street.
Born in Pennsylvania, he became a member of the Police Department in 1914 and retired in 1939 after serving for 25 years. Mr. Dexter was stationed at the Long Island City Precinct at the time of his retirement.
He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America in Manhattan.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Florence Dunnell; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Lapsansky, and a grand-daughter, Carol.
The Bergen Funeral Home at 45-18 48th Avenue, Woodside, is in charge.
