Frederick H. Case, "Onondaga, was born in this town, educated in the common schools, and is the owner of a farm of seventy-three acres. His father was Alanson Case, who built the homestead in 1818. Holmes was the last of that branch of the Case family. Alanson and Phoebe A. Case had these children: George, John, Mary, James, Frederick and Augusta. Frederick Case married Janette Browning, and their children are Holmes, Dempster and Eliza. Mrs. Janette Case is a daughter of Welcome and Eliza Browning, who had these children: Janette, Adelbert, Delphine, Dempster and Mary. Welcome Browning was a son of Hazard, a native of Rhode Island."
