    • The Obituary of Serena Ethel Ketterer appeared in the Ellwood City Ledger, Monday, 19 June 1945:

      " Mrs. Harry Ketterer Taken by Death

      "Mrs. Ethel B. Ketterer, 63, wife of Harry J. Ketterer, died early Sunday morning at her home in Wurtemburg.

      "She is survived by her husband and four sons, Carl, of Wurtemburg; Kenneth, of this city; Ray, of Wurtemburg Heights; and Seaman Second Class Ralph Robert, stationed in the Hawaiian area; two brothers, Warren Boots, of this city and Harry Boots of Pleasant Hill; three sisters, Mrs. Levada Frye, of New Castle, Mrs. Carrie Hazen of Pleasant Hill, and Mrs. Viola Fox, of Wurtemburg, and nine grandchildren.

      "Funeral services will be conducted from the residence at 2:30 PM Tuesday by the Rev. Mary Johnson, pastor of the Wurtemburg Methodist Church of which she was long an active member. Burial will be made in the North Sewickley Cemetery."
