?Of interest is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Edna Grant ofthe LeClaire hotel, Moline, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs WalterClark Grant, to Mr Hans Fiosne of Rock Island, son of Mrs MelchoirFiosne of Bergen, Norway.
The ceremony took place at noon Saturday, Feb. 12, in the pastor?sstudy of the First Presbyterian church in Clinton, Ia. The Rev. BruceMcCullough officiated. Mr and Mrs Ferenc Szasz of Moline were theonly attendants.
The bride wore a smart spring ensemble of navy blue, accented withred, and her flowers were a corsage of white fresias (freesias) andfor-get-me-nots (knots). Mrs Szaaz, the former Miss Mary Plummer ofMoline, who was a bride of Jan. 29, wore her wedding costume, also ofnavy blue. Her flowers were a corsage of white sweetpeas (sweet peas)and pink fresias (freesias).
Mr and Mrs Fiosne will be at home after Feb 15 at the LeClaire hotel,Moline.
Mrs Fiosne is a graduate of Moline high school and of Augustanacollege, where she affiliated with Phi Rho sorority. She taught forseveral years at Moline senior high school and is now cataloguer atthe Moline public library. Mr Fiosne is a graduate of the chemicalengineering department of the University of Oslo, Norway. He isemployed as a metallurgist at the Farmall plant of the InternationalHarvester Co.? NOTE: International Harvester no longer operates inthe Quad Cities area. LeClaire Hotel no longer exists in thatcapacity and was located downtown Moline.
