      ELSIE F. COLLINS, 77, died at 5 P.M. July 15, 2001 at Terre HauteRegional Hospital. Born Nov. 14, 1923 in Newport, she was the Dau. ofthe late Ira and Cuba Farner Hatch. Also preceeding her in death weretwo sisters. She was a home maker and co-owner of Collins Greenhousein Newport for 23 years, retiring in 1994. Her memberships includedNewport United Methodist Church; charter and life member of NewportAmerican Legion Auxiliary Post #184, and a 1941 graduate of NewportHigh School. She married John L. Rodney Collins Feb. 14, 1942 inIndianapolis and he survives. Other survivors include a son, KennethW. Collins of Newport: two grandsons: two great-grand daughters, and asister Mabel Harrison of Newport. Services will be held at 2:P.M.Wed. at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga with Rev.
