Sandy, Well, I might not be such a blessing because I can't findmuch on John Martin either. I know Peter had a brother, John, who'smother was Eve, Johann's second wife. I know that Peter and hisfamily moved to Woodford Co. Ky. about 1790 and lived on a farm about6 miles east of Shelbyville, near Clay Villiage. Peter is supposed tohave been burried on the farm.
I got my info. from Marjorie (Martin) Souder, who wrote the book aboutPeter Martin's family. She says in one sentence that Peter witnessedSamuel Martin's power of attorney to John Martin in Woodford Co. Ky in1796. I guess this would be his brother? Another passage talks aboutPeter's will in 1807 and was proved by Aaron, John and James Martin.But he had sons by those names so that's probably who they were. Thiswas in the Shelby Co. Will Book 2, pg 157.
I sent for the book "Ancestry and Desendants of the Nassau-SiegenImmigrants to Virginia" but it doesn't say much about Johann Jost'sson John.

Sandy, I found another book that I had, The Germanna Record book1, and in it it talks about John Martin and James.
The first John Martin is said to be the son of John Joseph Martin b.1735-39, and died in Fauquier Co. Va. in 1823. He married first wife,Caty, and a second wife in 1803 named Peggy. They had 3 kids, Louisa,Henry, and Elizabeth. Also it says that he had son by Caty, who wasElias, another named John Jr., and possibly one named James LeeMartin. Bingo!!! and maybe Hezekiah, but he was probably Tillmansson.
It says that from 1794 - 1810 two James Martins are shown asindependent tithables in Fauquier Co. One of these James Martins wasthe son of Tillman Martin, bro. of John. The other may have been ason John by the first marriage. The second James is called usuallyJames L. or James Lee Martin to distinquish him from Tillman's son.Both James Martins disappear in 1811, but that year Ann Martin appearswith Samuel Martin as a tithable in her family. Ann was perhaps thewidow of James Lee Martin, and Samuel, her son. Samuel married PollyGary in 1813. It says James Lee Martin was probably born around1765-70.
Now... there is another John Martin mentioned later in the book asbeing the son of Jacob Martin, or possibly John Martin. Confused yet? Anyway... He was said to have married Sarah Jefferies in FauquierCo. Va. in 1778, moved to Kentucky, and was drowned near ShelbyvilleKy, 6 weeks after his arrival while trying to cross the Dick's River.No mention of James in this account.

Sandy, Neat Christmas card!! As for Tillman, my info. does'nt saymuch about him. He was born 1730-35 married to Elizabeth, had adaughter who married Elijah Darnall prior to 1778. A daughter,Eleanor, who married Robert Smith of the same year. A son, James, b.1765-8, married Agatha Hughs 1789. A son Hezekiah b1770-73, marriedLena Stevenson 1794. Another daughter, Elizabeth, b.1773-6 marriedWilliam Stanners, 1793. And a son Tillman b. 1777-8 married CatherineKerns 1808.
Peter had other brothers that had sons James and John I think. Maybelook into their lines also. John Martin's son, James married KittieNeely and had no sons by the name of James or William.
