Aaron Douglass, father of Donald Douglass, died unexpectedly on Sundaynight about 11:45 P.M. Mr. & Mrs. Douglass had spent the evening withhim and he seemed in his usual health and had enjoyed playing with hisgrandson, Richard Lee. They had returned home shortly after eight.At eleven the son-n-law, Will Smith, called to tell them Mr. Douglasswas seriously ill, but he died before Donald was able to get there,which is on No. 43 East of New Market. The seizure was diagnosed asNeuralgia of the Heart. He had had a slight attack once before. Hewas the son of Henry and Matilda Faust Douglass, and was bornSeptember 9, 1866. His first wife was Lida Smith, who died in 1923.Later he married Mrs. Emma Coons Clouse, who survives together withtwo sons, Donald and Robert and one Daughter, Mrs. Will Smith.Funeral services were held at the New Market Christian Church onWednesday afternoon in charge of J.C.
