Notes |
- I believe this Ann Miller married 11 Jan. 1823 Thomas McFarlane (b.circa 1798 Milnton, Aberfoyle). They had a son Donald McFarlane who appears to have inherited Drumlean Farm from his uncle Alexander Miller (Ann's brother)who seems to have died unmarried and without issue. Donald farmed there until the property fell to one Robert Hampson (of an English family). As a small child, I lived at Altskeith, which I understand was part of Drumlean estate.
My maternal grandmother was Agnes Allan (1891-1931) who via the female line was a descendant of the Millers in Drumlean. My first school was at Kinlochard, by Aberfoyle.
