    • http://genforum.genealogy.com/viets/messages/7.html:
I'm a dirrect desendent of Cpt. John Viets and I'm also very interested in him. I have the book the Viets Geneology and it has like 10 or so pages on him. I don't know if you've got any one or you have the book, but if you don't I may be able to help you. I'm VERY interested in my linage and I hope that I may be of some help to you. Also there is Old New Gate (as you probably know) he was the warden there if you haven't already taken a tour of that do cause it's really cool! Across the street there is the Viets Tavern and that was owned by him and his son Eric. I don't know if it is anywhere near open to the public but I got a tour of it since I'm a decendent of him. Good luck!
