Mrs. Ross, active in musical circles since the age of eight, was a member of the Tabernacle Choir for 36 years. She sang for many prominent men including Admiral George Dewey and toured the state giving recitals on the same program with Karl G. Maeser.
A daughter of George and Vilate Romney, she was born Dec. 21, 1869, in Salt Lake City. She married George J. Ross, Dec. 10, 1896, in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Ross was killed in an automobile accident in 1908. He was listed as the first victim of the automobile in Utah.
Active in the Church, Mrs. Ross served in the presidency of all ward women's auxiliaries and was for many years a member of the Ensign Stake Relief Society Board.
