Enlisted and passed fit 25th October 1914 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, aged 38 years 10 months, height 5 feet 8? inches, girth 40 inches, complexion dark, eyes blue, hair dark, religion Presbyterian. (His papers incorrectly have him making the oath as William White Douglas, his brother). Buried in COURCELETTE BRITISH CEMETERY, Somme, France. Plot II. Row A. Grave 13.
