    • A Copy of Benjamin Berryman Sr.'s Will is in the Douglass FamilyRecords/French section; The Will being dated 29th of August 1729 atthe Westmoreland Court in Virginia. It states specifically that thefamily lived in Westmoreland, Virginia, and it tells of how manychildren he had with their names; However, it does not state the nameof his wife. His wife is referred to as "wife and their mother". Thesons are mentioned in order several times, William, James, Newton,Maximillian, John, Henry with Benjamin Jr. probably as the oldestsince he will be handling the estate after Benjamin's death along withthe children's mother. Five daughters are also listed, Elizabeth,Rose, Sarah, Frances, and Catherine. Then there is a grandsonmentioned also inheriting in the Will, Grandson Gilson. The way theWill is worded Gilson may be Benjamin Jr.'s oldest son. This copy ofthe Will was supplied by Amy Hough Terry on 07 Apr 2005 per mail. Amypoints out the name of, "Hugh French" as selling all the land he hasto Benjamin Berryman. This is an interesting aspect of the Will.SLJuhl, compiler.
