Notes |
Married:
- Janet Anderson email states:
Rockwell Thomas and his Mary, left Wayne County for Michigan in 1859. Both Rockwell and Mary died there, living first at Gilead Michigan, later at Six Lakes Michigan. Their daughter Selina Catherine married Peter Simpson (born Sullivan County NY) and eventually they retired to Oregon. Their daughter Louella was my Grandmother-- which brings me to my mother Marjorie (Marguerite) and to me. I live in the East, near Philadelphia, and have only been delayed in getting back to Wayne County for more research by our terrible winter... My great uncle Rockwell Simpson (Selina Catherine's son) was the keeper of family history in our family-- and I always have wondered if saying Grandmother was a Skinner, was somehow him confusing that Grandmother with Amanda Skinner who was Rockwell's mother (if you followed me.)
